This card gives a whole new meaning to the term "key card", ya know, like those things they give you at hotels?!! LOL

After I made a bunch of altered keys, I was thinking about this particular one and the lovely Hero Arts stamp that I've had for ages and decided to see how it would work with this key. It was just the right size! So I stamp embossed it on plain white card stock using Ranger Aqua Tinsel and my new TH stamp platform, and then I used a Sharpie felt marker in yellow on the flowers and stamped it again, although it is difficult to see the difference. I then diecut the white paper using my Spellbinders Regal Frame die from my son and inked around the edges using TH Peacock Feathers.

Using the same die set I cut the lovely frame using paper from the Paper Studio's Tattered & Worn collection.

Now, here's the deal....under that was an experiment I did when I was trying to come up with papers to use on my altered cigar box for Gerry. She said her favorite colors were yellow and mint. I took plain white cardstock and inked it all over with TH Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide and Broken China. (A second picture shows the back where you can see the colors better.) Then I used Finnabair White Crackle Texture Paste over the gorgeous Prima Iris Tapestry stencil. I ended up not using this for the cigar box and felt it went beautifully with this key and my other papers.

The card base is a scrap of TH Lost & Found.

There you have it! Right now this is a blank card.

Thank you so much for visiting my gallery. Your feedback and support is so much appreciated!
