This shows an inside view of the nature journal that I made to go inside the altered box that I just posted. This is a book format that I have not posted in the past. There are essentially two coves to the book. The outside of the book has a typical cased in book spine. When you flip it open you can see the exposed hand stitched binding and a second cover. I used Coptic stitch for the binding. This design provides much more space inside the folio with a gusseted pocket in the front. The frame is Reneabouquets chipboard that I have embossed. Papers are Stamperia Spring botanic and Maja Designs. The locket is vintage brass. The Squirll image is an upcycled book page. Rob mentioned in a forum post that he likes the tufted ear squirrel. The outside cover has another book page illustration from the same artist, Edith Holden. I covered the entire wood pecker image with vintage bees wax embossing. The book pages are a mix of cream journal paper, hand made paper leaf inclusions, and a few vintage song pages. Each signature has a pocket page made of scrapbook paper with tags.

The beautiful trims on the inside of the book are from Carri (Caletts),

For more detail on the box, see previous post. Thanks for looking. I appreciate your comments.
