Use strips of varying width, length, and patterns to make a background on plain cardstock. Use velum to matt the photo to allow the patterns to show on both the velum and background paper. Used a combo of upper and lower case letters in glitter to add spark and because I didn't have enough upper or lower case alone. Made a cupcake using Cricut to go with one of the patterned papers.
