Lake Pepin is the widest part of the Mississippi River located between the banks of Lake City, Minnesota & Pepin, Wisconsin. These photos were taken at the Lake City Sailboat Harbor in September 2006. We originally planned to take the 85mile scenic route to gawk at the lovely fall colors, but we were a couple weeks too early for the best colors, but since the weather was still warm, we were able to see several sail-
boats that were still in the harbor.
