Journaling: I love this painting “Altun-Ha” by artist Edward Garcia. We bought it on our honeymoon in Belize. It was painted and purchased in 1999. It reminds me of the incredible time we had climbing the Mayan ruins, exploring the jungle, and scuba diving. It was a wonderful vacation. I love the colors and that it shows so much of the Belize culture. The toucan in the upper left hand corner is the national bird of Belize. I had the painting framed back home. I used a mahogany frame because that is their national tree/wood. The painting is hanging prominently in our dinning. It is one of the first things you notice when you walk into our home.
