I had an order for a Unicorn birthday card for a girl turning 10 years old. The lady sent me a picture of a glittered unicorn for the inspiration. Well I don't have glittered unicorns and wasn't sure I wanted to try my hand at making one. So I went to internet for inspiration. Well I found this card https://www.pinterest.com/pin/467389267572987054/ and I like the ideal of the numbers and the unicorn. Now I love Gerda Steiner images (unicorn on her card) but I don't color well and I waited till the last minute to make this card so I couldn't order the stamp anyway. So with that inspiration I looked at the sketches this month for August Card Sketch challenge and found that sketch 10 could work. Original sketch found here: http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/2019/07/sketch-326.html
While I was looking I came across this saying "Wishing you rainbows, unicorns, and glitter!" And thought it was perfect so I put that inside and wanted to make the outside match it.
Then I went to Miss Kate Cuttables and found this cute unicorn and with that pose I thought it would look cute leaning on the 10. The unicorn had images of sparkles on it so I added jewels to those spots to make the unicorn sparkle for real! I cut the 10 out of white glitter paper so everything got glitter on it! And then for some crazy reason at 4 am I decided that the scallops needed tiny gems on them....5 on each scallop! Yeah why I torture myself is unknown but I love the look of it. The lady loved it and couldn't wait to give it to her granddaughter!
