This page is all about journaling and telling how we got the tickets. All in all we spent $107 for 7 shows/14 tickets. Note - this only tells about the $85 + $7 we spent - will tell about the additional $15. later. The paper work was scanned and resized then printed. Logos from the Internet.
Used scraps and washi and brads.
Journaling: Whenever we travel some place that we havenít been before I check the Web for info. Before leaving for Branson, I had done Internet research and signed up for info for Branson online. I received a call from Save on Branson with information on shows and ticket prices. I set us up with tickets to 4 shows for $85.00 which I paid for at that time. I was told we would have to go to a 90 minute presentation. At no time did they ask about our living arrangements. We were to pick up our tickets on the 23rd but we called and went in on the 22nd. At that time they started asking about whether we rented or owned our home and when we told them that we were full-time RVers , they said we didnít fit their criteria so they couldnít give us our tickets. Well, this didnít go over well with us at all since nobody asked up front before offering the tickets at reduced rates and we had already paid for them! We went through 2 supervisors before they finally gave us the tickets and said not to bother going to the presentation.
Next we went into the smaller Wal-Mart that was closer to the RV park to see if they had a water machine. While waiting at Customer Service I saw a booth with brochures for shows and decided to get some to use for scrapping. The woman in the booth offered me tickets for the Showboat Ė Branson Belle show for $7.00 for 2 and 2 free tickets to Pierce Arrow. The catch Ė we had to go to a presentation tomorrow. I told her that we didnít fit criteria since we didnít own a home but she insisted that it didnít matter. We just had to go for the presentation and tour the units (which were lovely) Ė 90 minutes and we would have our tickets. So the next day we went to Summer Winds timeshare office for the presentation on Stormy Point Ėtheir new development. Well, it was 2.5 hours later and even then we had to push to get the tickets we were promised. We had paid $20 (they insisted on money up front) so we wanted our tickets and our change. Finally, we were out of there Ė Dennis said that he will never sit through another timeshare presentation ever again!
