Hello my crafting friends! In case you're wondering why I gave this project a "Take Your Pick" title, it's because all sides are decorated so it can be rotated as desired! This is the gift I finally finished making for my aunt who will be 90 years old this month. I used end pieces of 2x4's that were going to get tossed out, as well as a 1x4 plank I had on hand. My husband and son are slowly rebuilding our barn and that's how I got the scrap wood.

Okay, where to start....I posted several pictures so you can get a look at all views, technique work and embellishments used.

I first sanded down all the wood and left the ends uncovered at first. I then applied my Stamperia Patchwork paper collection to all the pieces using TH Distress Collage Medium in Matte. Then I covered all that with his Crazing Medium. If you are able to zoom into each picture you can see the effects it gives. Pretty cool and sort of like crackle paint, only finer. I did some random stamping on some of the pieces as well as used Prima's Woven Stencil with their Finnabair White Crackle Texture Paste.

In this picture, special thanks go to Brandy (Brandy Lynn) for the lovely Prima flowers on the left, Vicki (Crimson Mama) for the lace appliques on top, the wooden heart lower left that I embossed with Verdigris and Clear embossing powders, the little bird that I colored in with Dew Drops Pumpkin Spice and Sky Blue, and the metal gates, I think! (Correct me if I'm wrong, Vicki!) Otherwise, I got those at Hobby Lobby.

Butterflies, Beautiful Board vines and little crown are Reneabouquets. The key is one I altered awhile back. The framed flowers I printed off from Pinterest. Tiny clock was from Aliexpress. Metal handles on top are Spare Parts from HL.
