I love how this card turned out. I saw one quite similar to this one that came with a picture tutorial and decided to give it a try.
For the card front it called for Kraft paper using the Tim Holtz 3D Botanical embossing folder. I don't really have blank kraft paper but the Haberdashery paper collection from HL is made from it, so I used the back side of one of the sheets I wasn't really fond of!
First, you run that through the 3D folder, then apply white chalk paint using a baby wipe! After that, I used TH Vintage Photo and Tea Dye distress ink pads and inking tool over the raised layers.
Next, I took a small scrap of white card stock and a scrap piece of the TH Collage Paper - Aviary and applied it the white card stock using TH Distress Collage Medium in Crazing finish. When dry I inked over the edges and entire image using Vintage Photo.
Thank you to Kelly (KVRLVN) for the leaf vine and Lisa (Iluvcats) for the lovely two-toned roses ribbon. I thought that matched the colors just perfectly of the bird's breast!!! The lace at the bottom was from my mom's stash. The flowers are Paper Studio.
Last, I added the TH quote chip after inking around the edges with Vintage Photo.
I hope I inspire you to give this a try. Thank you for visiting my gallery. Your support is so much appreciated!
