Wow. I saw Queensryche in concert a looonngg time ago- Chris DeGarmo had already left them-much to my dismay- but they were still awesome. Flash forward to 6-2018. Jennifer invited me to a concert at The Blues House featuring the 30th anniversary of Operation Mindcrime-only THE BEST concept album of all time- with Geoff Tate. I clearly could not resist, but I wondered how he would sound after all these years. I listened to his current stuff on YouTube and was encouraged. When he started singing, it was like OMG! The man still has it! He went through the whole album, and I was screaming the whole time! There were so many Queensryche fans there and it was so great to be there. He did some songs from other albums, which I was hoping for. Silent Lucidity, Empire, The Thin Line. Oh my. It was all I could have hoped for. He has great staying power for this type of music. Thank you Jennifer!.
