My Husband's good friend, Randy, just suffered the loss of his father. I made a 4x5 sympathy card from Joe & I because I know that Joe would definitely want me to do this. THE DESIGN INSPIRATION: comes from Marylou (Meggie's Nana), who has made several layered torn strip cards recently. The design and idea really attracted me because I always wondered what in the world to do with those pages in a collection that is printed with strips. Well, they are PERFECT to make cards with! Not that you have to use only this type of paper, but I thought it would be neat to do like Marylou does....however, instead of tearing the pieces, I used my deco-edge scissors in a large & small scallop shape; then layered the pieces to form a ruffled look. The main card is solid colored card stock. I adhered a personal note inside of the card, on behalf of my husband and me. A simple design with a butterfly and Kora Projects (Spain) leafy branch coordinated well with the paper colors. Thanks for viewing and any sweet comments. Have a great weekend, Lisa : ) My blog has details and close up photos: https://iluvcatsandscraps.blogspot.com/2019/09/sympathy-card-for-randy.html
