First, thank you to Jess (Jess E) for hosting the pocket letter swap here on sb.com! This was my first-ever "guy" pocket letter and I really enjoyed making it! It is quite heavy due to all the metal elements I used on it! I entered this in the Reneabouquets October Mood Board Challenge since the color scheme was olive and rust (or autumn colors) and the Ciao Bella Collateral Rust papers not only was perfect to use for a masculine pocket letter but also has lots of autumn colors!

After I cut my two chosen papers for the rectangles, I distressed the edges and then ran them through my Darice Wired Fence and Diamond Plate embossing folders and then sanded the raised edges.

Special thanks to Pam (FritillaryB) for the tiny metal stars in pockets 2, 5 and 8, and to Jess for the bulb pin on the side bar (can't see it too well in the picture). The arrowhead on the side bar is one my husband gave to me years ago and I finally put it to use!

Okay...in pockets 1 and 3 I used Reneabouquets BBoard ivy vines and painted them with Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy Sparks in Fairy Wings and Ginger Magic. I placed them on top of some eggshell mosaics I made probably 5 years ago and finally got to use them since they are autumn colors! I used Stampendous Mica Flakes in the top and bottom of those cards. Also added gold and red microbeads from Reneabouquets in the vines.

In pocket 2 I used keys and gears from my stash, as well as the "Dream" diecut.

Pocket 4 - One of my absolute favorite altered keys I made. I told Robbie it was very hard for me to part with as I really love it!

Pocket 5 - I added Route 66 imagery from the Collateral Rust. The awesome angel wings I had to glue to the outside of the pocket letter since they were too big to fit inside the pocket. They are Reneabouquets and again I used Prima paint in Ginger Magic.

Pocket 6 - the 1980 is from the paper collection and also the year Robbie was born! Hence 1980 Special! The letters are Heidi Swap. Key from my stash and the "hello" token is Tim Holtz.

Okay, pockets 7 and 9 feature the coolest faucet handles that I got on clearance awhile back at Hobby Lobby on a card that had 5 different pieces on it. I glued them to some metal filigree from my stash. Under those are Formica tile samples (Seasoned Corkboard Matte and Grass Matte Finish) I picked up at either Home Depot or Lowe's years ago! I used TH quote bands also covering them with Patinas. The clock hands are from HL also.

In pocket 8 I fussy cut the gas pumps and used TH Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint to vintage them up even more. Added a metal bow that I embossed with Aged Silver and the star from Pam.

On the TH Quote Chip I rubbed Dew Drop Chalk Ink in Pumpkin Spice to tone down the stark white.

Yarn on the side was from Walmart and I've had the letters in my stash for years. I also used a TH quote token on the side as well as a metal clock from Aliexpress.

Thank you all so much for stopping by my gallery! I appreciate your support so much.
