CHT: I am completely agreeing with the others that the photo needs a mat. It's a great pic, but it's getting lost within the PP. I've seen several people use a paint to lightly brush the edges of the picture. that would probably look really cool
What a gorgeous LO. just spectacular C!!! And it's PINK!!! This really is a beautiful piece of art work..I love your A initial..way cool.. fantastic job!
CHT: The colors, the pps, and the pic are definitely pretty. I also like the title font. I agree with Holly on the unbalanced feeling, so I spent some time staring at it trying to figure it out and have a number of suggestions.
First, the pic does need a mat to make it the focal point of the page. You might even move some of the pink brads to the mat in a column of 3 to help redirect the eye. Second, you might need to move everything up and allow some "white space" at the bottom of the page so that it doesn't seem like your pic and the pps below are sinking. This might mean doing away with the semi-circle, or keeping it but moving the title underneath it. BTW, I noticed the middle pp of the semi-circle does not appear anywhere else on the page.
I think the unbalanced feeling is also partly due to the placement in the order of the pps below. I would mirror them. For example, the floral pp on the far right does not appear anywhere else. The right striped one could go there instead. Also, I like the polka dots, but I'm not sure black ones are the way to go. Last, the embellishment on the bottom of the page is lost in the pp. It could probably be used on "white space". TFS!
CHT - I can see why you say you feel something is missing. I love the colors and PP you picked, but the PP right up against the photo seems to overwhelm it a bit. My eye just isn't drawn to it - it might need a mat, so it doesn't blend in (or paint/ink the photo edges). Also, the whole page feels bottom heavy. Maybe if you moved the design up on the page, or if you added something to the corners? I'm not sure, I just know it feels unbalanced.
