Since this is a relatively small piece, you might want to consider white chalk paint. You can cover old paint and it doesn't require any stripping or sanding either. Just paint it on and you're good to go. Because chalk paint will cover just about anything, it is a bit pricey, but it eliminates a number of steps. Happy Halloween!
Beautiful space, I've redone numerous pieces of furniture. My friend, I would suggest first stripping it down from the layers of paint you have on it, then after stripping it sand lightly and add your white paint. It's a bit of work but well worth it with a finished look:)
Linny your scrap room is looking so beautiful and organized!! I love the little table! Brush or spray either would work. Spraying might be messier because of the over spray, but quicker over all. Finger might hurt holding down the spray button for a long time. But then painting can be messy if like me you get splatters from over zealous brushing...lol
I agree with Sara leaving it like it is. Goes well with the other dark piece next to it, but of course it is all up to you sweet lady. I don't paint furniture so no help there!:)
I think spray would be much easier...if you have a place to do it. They have paint & primer in 1 that covers very well. You might want to do a light sand first if it's glossy.
So, dh got the small white cabinet assembled and it is now filled totally with flowers! Well, I was getting rid of this small black and red table and wella, it fits just right! We all know how valuable craft room real estate is!!! So now for you gals who know how to refinish furniture, what is the best way to get this painted white? The red top is painted by me; but first I had painted it olive green; can't recall what color is under that...yep, very decisive!
