My daughter in her Pom Jazz class pics for recital

These were the instructions given to get this lo created.
HERE IS THE ENTIRE PROJECT! So excited to see how yours look!!!

The list of ingredients:
5 patterned papers, two should be the exact
1 solid cardstock
1 ink
1 stencil
1 embossing folder
2 brads
1 ribbon ( can be yarn, string, etc)

Pop up dots (foam, whatever you have)
your adhesive
paper cutter

That's it! Look for items that match! LMK once you alll have everything

Ok so STEP ONE...

Take ONE of those papers and cut it into two pieces. You decide if they will be in half or otherwise.

Ok moving on...

ALSO,
Cut the SOLID cardstock into two 5x7 pieces.

DO NOT THROW AWAY ANY LEFTOVERS!!!

Check in by letting me know step one is completed.

STEP 2

One of those solid papers that was cut to 5x7 needs to be embossed and inked.
If you are playing without an embossing machine, add texture in any other way possible.

Check back in after that step for us to proceed!

STEP 3

Cut one of the patterned papers into two 12” strips small or large. You choose!

STEP 4

You should have had something leftover from step one. Did you? If so create any size tag. We will not be decorating this tag, just creating one. You may now attach one of your brads to it as well.

STEP 5

With your leftover solid cardstock,
Cut (2) 2x2
Cut one 5x7 with whatever leftover you have, or cut the biggest piece you can Into another background mat.

Depending on how you cut your earlier solid your pieces may not be the exact measurements as I have written. If this is the case just cut them as large as possible.

Cut your 2x2 pieces into triangles. You will end up with 4 triangles.

STEP SIX
Time to use your stencil. On the smaller piece of solid cardstock, use your stencil to ink it

Step SEVEN
Time to cut that last piece of patterned paper. Use it to create a 6x8 and a 4.5x6.5

Step EIGHT
Wrap your ribbon around your brad that is attached to the tag you created

Step NINE

With patterned paper from step 3, create a mat to go on top of the solid with stencil. The size should be about 3.5x3.5, depending on how large yours is.

Also create a mat that is 5.5x 5.5. Again if your paper is not cut the same way, create one as close to this size as possible

STEP A
You will lay the solid papers side-by-side

STEP B
You will take one of the cut pieces from STEP ONE and adhere it to the far left on your left side solid. Take the other cut piece and adhere to right side solid. Adhere to the far right.

STEP C
Take one of your 12” strips and adhere it to the RIGHT of your cut piece in STEP A.
(Think border strip)

STEP D
Take your other 12” strips and adhere it to the LEFT of your cut piece in STEP A.
(Think border strip)

STEP E
You have piece of paper that has been embosssed. Attach one of your precut patterned papers on top of that one. That embossed piece should look like a mat.

Using that same patterned paper, attach to another solid in the same way.

STEP F
You should have another solid background. Attach your last patterned paper to it.

STEP G
You have 2x2 triangles. Layer a solid with pattern to create photo corners. Do this twice and use foam dots between them to give dimension. Add onto any mat(s) that you would like.

RECAP:
You have three photo mats with patterned papers layered on top of them.

STEP H
Attach those photo mats anywhere on your double layout. Turn it, twist it, overlap, whatever feels good. Add pics!

STEP I... this is it!
You have another mat that you stenciled. You will put your tags behind it so adhere that stenciled mat anywhere that is left making sure to carefully leave allowance for the tags to fit behind it. Your tags should have a brad with ribbon tied around it and sitting behind this mat for your journaling.

BONUS STEP
USING ANYTHING LEFTOVER, decorate that stenciled mat

BONUS STEP 2
Every layout needs a title. Using any color alphabets, create your layout and share

Thanks for playing!!!!
