Tribute to friendship. This is for a scrapbook I'm doing of "Friends" that spans the past 11 years. There is a companion page from our "wilder" days (that I will not post, but that makes me smile in rememberance). The poem reads:
As time goes by the outings change,
cocktails are traded in for bottles
and shopping is for toddler clothes not the latest fashion.
The topics of discussion change but the conversation goes on.
The bond of friendship goes beyond chit-chat.
It delves into the deepest need for support and comfort,
for understanding and laughter.

The poem is by me but the last line "Friendship has no name but love" is by Sabib Habib.
