Thank you for all of your love and kindness, L.C.! I've been a little absent from SB.com, but so happy to see your art! Always so beautiful and inspiring! Sending biggest hugs xoxo
wow wow wow wow wow... so pretty and detailed. Love the flower, everything is so perfect. Thank you for the Christmas surprise. I love the work you sent me. I showed all my family and then showed them your work on my computer. I am back now to load you up with praise. I will treasure the lovely creations you sent me. Thank you from my heart... I am having some technical difficulties with my computer so I can't load any of my work yet. Happy New Year my friend and thank you again for sharing your beautiful artwork with me. Love Cathy
I love the way you made your own patterned paper for the inside piece and softened the edges with ink. So beautiful. Using the same elements from front to inside makes this so cohesive. Every inch is just lovely. I can see your hand in every detail. Your gatefold cards meet perfectly! That's a talent.
Your poinsettia is gorgeous. I love the touches of darker ink on the petals and that stamen is perfection. I love the vellum that sets the flower off from the card. I think that's the most elegant belly band I have ever seen!
I think you saved the best for the last, except for the one you made for me! lol This is absolutely gorgeous & again your creativity is over the top!:)
This is the last card I'll be posting for 2019. It was inspired by Jennifer McGuire (https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2019/11/window-gatefold-cards.html). Her solid red gatefold card base and layered belly band really caught my eye. I thought the pair would be a great backdrop for this large red poinsettia (Stitched Poinsettia dies by Pretty Pink Posh). I added leaves from the same set, and pine sprigs as well as berries from the Seasonal Sprigs die set by Crafter's Companion. To add definition to the outer edges of the card and the poinsettia petals, I applied Fired Brick Distress ink with a dauber. The gold stamens were cut using dies from my Dee's Distinctively poinsettia die set and were adhered with a small piece of foam tape raising them up in the flower's center.
When you open the gatefold, a flip up card was added giving me a place to include my personal greeting. On its front, I used a collection of sentiment stamps from MFT's Bitty Holiday set and stamped them lightly, to get an uneven, aged impression, with Antique Linen Distress ink. Then, I applied the same ink to the inside card's edges. I also added a pine sprig, leaves and a berry as well as a gold sentiment die cut (die is from Creative Expressions).
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your gallery visits, kind comments and votes as well as markings of favorite over this past year. Your encouragement and support means so very much to me and is appreciated more than I can say. Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year! I can't wait to see what each of you will share here in the gallery in the coming year.
