Give a Cheer
I don’t think my parents expected the ferry to the island to be such a horrible experience. WIth open floor space, families would just plop down and claim their space and hunker down for the 7 or 8 hour ride from Tokyo to the island. Between the rolling waves, weird smells, noise, crying babies, people getting sick, etc. we weren’t off to a great start. Looking bad, I feel so sorry for my parents since they also had a surly teen to deal with. BUT, in the end, it was all worth it.
