Slowly working through piles of old photos. This one is from 1973 and is for the Jan 2020 Heritage challenge.

The journaling on the left (Tamagoyaki) had a recipe for a traditional rolled omelet and the journal tag on the right reads:
My love for cooking, baking, and general kitchen experimentation started early. I remember one of the first things I learned to make was a Japanese rolled omelet (home-style). At lunch time, mom would let me do the whisking and pouring into the special frying pan. Then she’d show me how to gently roll the egg into a perfect omelet. I also remember being in charge of making the dinner salad and I’d arrange the carrots, tomatoes, etc. into patterns on the top. Daddy would always give me the newspaper section that had recipes and stuff and would take me to the library to look at cookbooks. I still love experimenting with new ingredients and recipes!
