Pottery is awesome! We actually had one in my very small town when I grew up. IT had very little of anything, but a kiln??? This is a great place lo to add to your memories! Thanks for playing! Oh, and I LOVE those little colorful pieces up top!
The colored squares add so much color and textures to the page. The solid colored background makes the focal photo pop. Your parents were so sweet to make your trip so special.
My mom wanted to make my 2005 visit to Japan very special so she and my dad planned a trip from Tokyo to Kyushu to stay not only at 3 amazing different ryokans (similar to an upscale B&B) but to also visit a number of potters (pottery) villages, including Kuromuta Kiln, one of the oldest working kilns in Japan. Why this was so special - I love all things art and have tried many mediums - pottery was one I couldn’t quite master but was (and still is) an art form I truly appreciate and love.
