Give a Cheer
After 3 tries (not a typo) I FINALLY created a special card for a special person in my life that I was pleased with! I must first say that Paulette is married to my 1st cousin/Godfather, Butch. She and I became close only in the past couple of years. She's a complete DOLL and so much like me that my Godfather says "it's scary" - LOL!
So, all it took was a change in the paper collection I was using to get on track! Maja Design's "Denim & Girls" is gloriously gorgeous! So many patterns that coordinate perfectly together made me decide to make my very first angled pocket card. This is a pocket - it's actually scored and made into a pocket to hold thicker pieces in it. I made two cute tags to go into the pocket. Each tag has words/quotes that are cut from the bottom strips of the paper in this collection. The really cool thing that Maja Design does is to put something pretty on one side of this bottom strip and then on the other side is their name, collection name & page name... This gives you options to play with and on this card & its tags, that's exactly what I did! I left the bottom strip on the pink piece and then trimmed it with deco scissors for a ruffle look. ReneaBouquets butterflies will certainly ramp up any creation to a next level! They are stunning! Impeccably detailed...so much I could say about them.
