some of my favorite PP and love the ribbon/fiber!!! Great layout...so glad you joined us!
Love the journaling. It is so rare to have both of the addicts work together to beat an addiction but it's the only way it would ever work long term. Good for them!!!
For Dawn's sketch... I turned it on it's side to fit the type of picture I had. Thanks so much for the inspiration Dawn.
For the use what I send you Challenge... The rub on's were sent to me. I love them! Thank you so much Markaren (Karen)!!! For the rub ons and the inpiration! =0)
For the Imperfect Lives Challenge (Scrap about Addiction) Journalling follows:
Not many people would say that they are proud to have grandparents who are recovering alcoholics. I am! This picture is of my grandparents at their first Alcoholics Anonymous convention on New Years Eve in 1987. My grandma got sober on 10-27-87 and my grandfather followed her on 12-1-87. They are both such an inspiration to me because of their dedication to their sobriety and to each other as well. There is a HUGE predisposition towards addiction in my family. My Aunt Laura got sober on 12/25/87, but my Uncle Buddy is still using and we pray for him daily. At age 20, I decided that I would quit drinking. I haven’t had a drink since March of 2000. It’s just too much of a risk with such a history of alcoholism. Thankfully Ronnie doesn’t drink either. It makes things much easier. Journaling written on 1-19-2007.
