This is so beautiful, and different for you. Proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone, but you knocked this one out of the park! The trims are perfect for this project, and I love the tassel
First, special thanks to Jess for giving my pocket letter the title! I sent her a sneak peek and she said it looks like a Bohemian Tapestry!! I thought "perfect name"!! :-)
So, the story behind this....When I was on Facebook the other day I saw where one of my FB friends had made a metallics pocket letter, the first one she'd made in two years. We chatted back and forth and she said it was up for a swap so I asked her if she wanted to swap with me and she said sure! Sooo, I decided to make a metallic pocket letter also. I started digging through my paper stash, thinking I only had gold, silver, bronze...stuff like that, when I ran across a package of 6x6 metallic origami paper I forgot I had bought on clearance when our Craft Warehouse store closed! I was thrilled, because it had a lot of colors in the stack. I picked out my favorite ones, cut them down, then ran them through my Paper Studio Quatrefoil EF. The paper is very lightweight so I glued them to Tim Holtz silver and/or gold Metallic Kraft Stock. I then went through all my trims and glued them down before adding my other embellies! I diecut the flowers using DCWV Mercury Glass paper collection and the little ovals from TH Metallic Kraft Stock. I inked up the TH Quote Token with his Pool alcohol ink and then dabbed blending solution on it with a paper towel.
The key was from Aliexpress. The lovely mothlike butterflies are Fairy Tale from the jewelry section at Hobby Lobby. The trims in #2, 4-6, 8 and on the sidebar are also from Hobby Lobby. I can't remember where I got that beaded trim in #7 and 9.
Butterfly in #8 is Reneabouquets. I made the tassel from lots of various trims, ribbons and yarn in my stash.
Special thanks to Deb Kravec for the trim in #1 and #3 and Jess for the bulb pin I used on the tassel.
I had a lot of fun on this. I hope you like it and thank you so much for stopping by!!
