I met Joene originally through one of the craft rooms I was a member of on Facebook at least 5 or 6 years ago. Although she wasn't a paper crafter, she did beautiful shabby chic sewing projects such as fabric books, Victorian shoes and lots of pretty things! I sent her some pretty lace fabric and lace trims about 3 years ago and she reciprocated with this gorgeous flower she made from lace fabric and crochet. She added the beautiful crystal pieces and I believe they are Swarovski crystals. I couldn't part with that flower. Tragically, she had a massive stroke, developed pneumonia and passed away early in the morning hours of April 6. The lace applique in the corner, the metal birdcage, Eiffel Tower charm on the tag and two stick pins I placed in the flower were also from Joene. She sent me a bag of pretty lace fabric scraps and shimmery fabric that I have also been hoarding for a different project. Her sunny smile and disposition will be so missed by the crafting community that knew her, her family and friends.

I used BFS Bird Waltz papers. Butterflies are from Reneabouquets and the "Remember" ephemera from BFS Eclectic Charm.

I used Prima Finnabair doily stencil with their White Crackle Paste under the flower and stamped the birds on the left.

The second picture shows a close-up of the gorgeous flower and the third picture shows the tag. I wrote a note on the back of the tag about Joene.
