Yay you! One day soon I'll do my own before layout. I took my first official 'before' photos today - one day in to my diet (WW). Good luck and hope it all goes to plan!
WOW!!! That's so great that you did that!!!! I know how hard the journey is and I'm so proud of you! I didn't think of doing a page like this - maybe when I'm closer to the end of my journey! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
I love the honesty here too! I can relate so well! lol! I have lost and gained so many times and for some reason it always clicks just after binging...
Congrats girl! You look fabulous!
I am over weight and would like very much to change that. Only recently have I thought about all the things I don't do with my kids because of my size. I NEVER EVER swim with them because I wouldn't want to embarrasse them. I am ok with how I look for the most part if only I could be smaller. I LOVE this page and what an inspiration your are. I am going to wirte down the name of the website and visit it tonight when my kids are asleep. Great page.
SO glad I inspired you!!! (...if only I had taken my own advice!!!) Great LO as always! I love how you always to so much great journaling in your own handwriting!!
These pages are for my weight loss journey album. We were challenged in the diet challenge to create a "before" layout-- so here's me last July, right before I started my diet.
Journaling on the left side says: VITAL STATS: DATE: July 4, 2006 WEIGHT: 188 lbs. NOTES: I had no clue how big I had gotten. Denial!!!
Journaling on the right side says: If you had told me on July 15th that my life was going to change that evening, I probably would have laughed. I knew I was overweight, and I knew I should do something about it, but the truth is in a lot of ways I didn't care. I guess you get used to being fat. It was just how I was. I was the funny fat lady. I knew how to pose so I looked okay in pictures. I looked at other women who were bigger and reasoned I didn't look so bad. On July 15th we had friends over for dinner and I ate a huge amount of bad-for-me food. When they left I grabbed th carton of ice cream from the freezer and sat down with it in front of the computer. And then my life changed. My friend Colleen from scrapbook.com was talking about this great website for losing weight. I find it so ironic that as I checked out sparkpeople.com and registered there I was shoveling chocolate ice cream into my mouth straight from the container. But the next day I started-- drinking lots of water, counting calories, eating better foods. It was my turning point. I don't know why it worked this time. I don't know what clicked in me, but overnight I changed. That's how the journey began . . .
