Pull out journaling tag reads: Our first field trip as homeschoolers was to Andersonville, Georgia to tour the former Fort Sumter, a Confederate prisoner-of-war camp during the final fourteen months of the American Civil War. After touring the camp, we walked through the cemetery which contains the graves of more than 13,000 Union soldiers. On the far side we found this old train parked and were able to go inside it also. Spring 1999

When I first saw this train paper, I knew that I wanted it to go with these photos. I fussy cut the train from it's original background and put it on this green. Then I added the blue strip and railroad track borders. I made the borders using a fence punch and then cutting away the top points of the fence. At the bottom I used colored pencils to added details next to the train and make it appear as if the bg flows across to where the photo starts. Lastly, I added a journal tag behind the top photo. Thanks for stopping by :)
