Back in 2015 my husband had me buy an early 1970's travel trailer for a "She Shed" for my birthday. It was much cheaper than putting in an actual shed and supplying it with electricity, cabinets, tables, heating, cooling, etc. It is my Happy Place! For years I stood on my feet to craft using my washer and dryer for a tabletop. This trailer is in my gallery under photographs. It has two work tables, the original was the largest one I used to craft on. After about 6 or 7 months my hip started giving me bigtime problems from sliding in and out to use it. So, my sweet and thoughtful son, Sam, took it upon himself to build me a nice, large craft table that spans the width from bench to bench. I now can roll right up to the table in a desk chair. I absolutely LOVE my table. Not only that, but he installed three overhead LED lights from Costco including one right over the table so I have great lighting in there!

I inked up my title letters with Dew Drop Jumbo Java so they could be seen easier. Under the "ruler" is a wood shaving from another table Sam made for the shop. The wood pieces at the top and bottom I've had for ages and can't even remember where I got them or why! I also cut some screws off that I had in my stash and glued them to the top wood pieces. The little tool charms and cord I got at Walmart. The "Hand Made" charm was from Hobby Lobby, as well as the brads to hang them on.

Although my journaling is on day of the week paper from Tim Holtz, it doesn't really coincide with the days he worked on it! I just thought it was kind of cool using the paper. I have had the background paper for ages waiting for the right project to use it on. It worked perfectly for this woodworking project!

After my texture paste dried I inked up the white with Dew Drop Gingerbread to tone it down. I usually like to distress the edges on my layouts but I held back from doing that this time since I wanted it to be a more finished look. I did ink around the edges of the paper with Jumbo Java.

I am entering this in eight different challenges:

May 2020 Sticker Challenge

NSD/MAY Boy Only/ Girl only Challenge

Thank you so much for visiting my gallery!! Oh yes, in the center picture is my husband helping Sam hold the table up. Sam used a piano hinge clear across the table to hold it in place! He's so talented!
