I finally got around to scrapping this picture of my middle brother, Marshall, with Dan and Sam. Now they have an Uncle Marshall layout. The picture was taken in 2016 when we took a trip down to CA for a church meeting. It was a big surprise when my brother showed up at the meeting. So good to see him!

I had fun making this one also. I was able to choose my papers quickly, which is unusual most of the time! I used Blue Fern Studios Eclectic Charm (Reminisce). Beautiful stuff! The little flags to the left with the phrase overlapping are ephemera pieces from the collection.

Special thanks to:
Lisa Carlson for the lovely buttons and stamped glittery ribbon at the bottom right. (I love that ribbon!)
Vicki (Crimson Mama) for the little wooden clock on the right side. I inked all around the face of it with VersaMagic Jumbo Java, then heat embossed with Zing Clear embossing powder.
Jess (JessE) for the DMC floss I used on the buttons.
Caroline (Bishsticks) for the lovely key under the picture. I've hoarded it for a couple of years!!

So, the first thing I did after cutting the blue paper that I matted the picture with, was run it through a Cricut Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Diamond Flourish embossing folder and sanded the edges. I inked around it all with VersaMagic Night Sky. Then sort of placed it where I wanted it to go. I fussy cut the clock with flowers and ephemera to go at the top and inked around the edges with Jumbo Java. After temporary placement, I then placed my Prima damask stencil and used white crackle texture paste. After that, random stamping with Versafine Onyx Black. All but one of the stamps, I inked up the stamp, then stamped on a scrap of paper because I didn't want the black to be too dark. I don't recall the brand of the medallion stamp on the right. I've had it for years.

I used a couple of burlap ribbon scraps I had under the ephemera at the top and a piece of package strapping under the stamped ribbon at the bottom.

The wood flourish above the ribbon and strapping was one I've had for several years from Unique Laser Designs that I guest designed for. I embossed it with Stampendous Aged Silver. Also embossed with Aged Silver is the clockhand on the left from Creative Embellishments.

The elegant key is from Hobby Lobby as well as the stickers I used.

I will be entering this in the NSD Scrapbookers Choice, Stickers, Boys Only, Mixed Media, Hoarders and Stamping Challenges.

Thank you so much for visiting my gallery. I have added closeups for details.
