I wanted to make a LO about our family's fun visit to an ice cave which was a novel experience for my FIL who has never visited or experienced much "nature" type travel or adventures being that he prefers the comfort and convenience of "civilized" city visits etc...lol ;-)

Anyways, we had to walk through a shaded path in the forest to get to the ice cave so I wanted to recreate a similar atmosphere in my layout. IRL, we were surrounded by lush green trees and colourful flowers around the path so I decided to frame my layout in the gorgeous flowers from the Pick-me-up collection as well as flowers from various planner and sticker books. I also fussy cut a few blooms from some of Paige Evans lovely "Pick me Up" papers as well as the gorgeous First Edition's "Paradise Crush" papers. Multiple layers of stickers, chipboard, fussy cutting, puffy stickers, transparent stickers etc., made up the "forest" around the edge of the layout. And I used some diecuts from older Panduro and Tilda collections from my stash. Since I wanted the floral frame to be the main focus, I opted for a more muted title using a medium sized Paige Evans phrase sticker "Lovely Day".

I felt that the photo /people were getting lost in the flowers/forest! ;-) So, I matted the photo onto gold mirror card and hand stitched around the biggest floral cluster and stuck it near the photo to draw the eye towards the photo part of the layout. I finished off with some stickles and Gold colour shine.

Thanks for Looking and Have a lovely day! :-)
