Hi! Again, thanks for letting us use your layout. The blog post is now live and you can check it out here: https://scrapbookcampus.com/2021/05/picture-frames/ :)
Congratulations to him and to you. This is a lovely way to commemorate his ordination. I love the texture you have added. This is so beautiful but yet has a warm, masculine look to it. Amazing work.
What a wonderful occasion to commemorate with this beautiful layout. These papers are stunning, perfect vintage elegance! I love the bg work, great stencil work and fantastic design. You really out did yourself this month my friend!
I love what Mgiov said - this is definitely "gorgeously masculine"! I just love looking at all the goodies you put on your pages, plus the layering, and torn paper techniques! Such talent you have!
Gorgeously masculine!!!! I love all of the layers and textures and details, small and large, all coming together to form the perfect background for your very handsome son!
Oh Elizabeth what a gorgeous page! Sam is a very handsome young man. I love all the textures with the cheesecloth and texture paste as well as all the details. Beautiful masculine page.
This is such a wonderfully 'vintage' style layout! :-)
I love how you altered the muslin with the sprays and the texture paste +stencil is beautiful. Love that clock charm!
I saw this LO before I saw the artist name and knew already that it was yours. You definitely have your own artsy style. :) Fantastic work with the stencil medium. Like the die cut mat for the photo in that blue. The blue and gold color combo is great for this LO/photo. Like too the bronze/ copperish metal elements you've chosen to include as well.
I have broken a personal record! This is my seventh and final layout for the month of May and will be entered into the NSD challenges on the last day!
This layout was made using Blue Fern Studios Eclectic Charm paper collection as well as a few pieces of the ephemera that goes with the collection. I wanted to use several layers under the photo of my son, Sam, on the day he was ordained to the office of Deacon in our little church.
I used Finnabair's Iris Tapestry and white crackle texture paste first and when it dried I went over it with Tim Holtz Distress Collage Medium in Vintage to tone down the white.
The music paper is Paper Studio's Textured Cream Sheet Music. The piece with the diecut frame was leftover from another project and I didn't throw the scrap away. I inked around the inner edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain. The picture and frame diecut are inked with VersaMagic Night Sky. Before attaching the picture to the layout I used TH's splatter brush and applied Prima Art Alchemy Ginger Magic all over the layout.
The cheesecloth was sprayed with all three Tim Holtz Distress Mica Sprays.
Copper colored round clips and charms are from my stash. The clock charm I believe was from either Amazon or Aliexpress.
Date stickers are Spare Parts from HL. Alphabet clear stamps I used for the title is Timeless from Stampabilities.
Special thanks to Sam for the Spellbinders die set that I cut the frame out and Marci B. for the "Documented" stamp set! Also thanks to Carri (Caletts) for the dark blue baker's twine. I'm pretty sure it came from her! :-)
Butterfly from Reneabouquets was toned down using TH Walnut Stain.
I love how this turned out and I sure appreciate all of you that visit my gallery, vote and express your support. Thank you so much!
