This layout is about my wonderful niece who recently started wearing eye glasses (or spectacles as we call it here). When I started the layout, I knew I wanted to incorporate one of her favourite colours, pink, so I selected various papers from my stash of pink Panduro and Bazill papers as well as some Heidi Swapp “Hello Beautiful” papers. I added some mint papers to soften the bright pink papers. I hand drew and cut various shapes of spectacles. I was too lazy to cut out the middle lens part so I used glitter to represent the glass/lenses! I cut banners from the various papers and used them in the 3 embellishment clusters along with some hearts(since I love her), stars (since she is a star in my eyes) and some glitter drops (since she loves sparkly stuff)!
Instead of making a border frame all the way around as I usually do, I decided to frame only 2 sides and I loved the contrast between the b/w paper and the pink cardstock so I went for it. I have some pretty old alphas in my stash. They are very tactile…like soft felt which I thought went well with the layout.

I added a stripy pink cut-apart journaling card in the bottom left cluster but it had some phrases and images which weren’t right for the layout so I covered it up with various stickers. I added the date using some old rub-ons and stickers.

Thanks for Looking and Have a lovely day! 
