Journaling reads: After graduating high school (homeschool), we convinced Joshua that he should go to Griffin Technical College to study computer programming. He had already been self-educating himself in this area for several years. Whenever we would go up to Barnes and Noble in Atlanta, we would tell each of the children that they could pick one book to buy. Invariably, Joshua would come out with a big, thick, programming book, usually to the tune of $60-$100! But, as it turns out it was money well spent. Anyhow, he took the test for his GED, aced it, and was soon enrolled at Griffin Tech. After attending for a while, he became aware that he wasn't really learning much. There was one occasion I remember him telling me that the teacher didn't know the answer to a student's question… but Joshua did. So, he got bored with school and decided to drop out and start his own company … but that's another story for another page. Even though he never went back to get a degree, he has excelled in his profession. He is currently the lead developer at Air Tight Design in Atlanta and making $$$ and he still hasn't given up on the dream of owning his own company one day… but, again, another story for another page.

This is just a simple page telling a little about our oldest son Joshua's journey to becoming a programmer. The pps are by Authentique's Homestead collection. The little flags are made by hand. The computer was clip art that I printed and colored and the backpack is a sticker. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
