I love the spectrum of colors. Very eye-catching
Good for you to try new things. Did you have fun playing? That's what is important. I just used alcohol inks on a frog card
KatieJoe...haha you should have seen the mess I made with the embossing powder. I saw somewhere that I can put the powder in salt and pepper shakers, too bad I didn't see that beforehand. Oh well, being messy is part of the fun. You can do it! Just cover the room up with paper and you will be good to go :) And hey you will have even more background options when you take the paper down :)
I have yet to get brave enough to try alcohol ink. I am so afraid I'd end coloring my room with it somehow. I don't know if I've ever seen embossing done with it. I like the scattered effect it shows here. The dimension of the butterflies are a nice touch too.
This was the first time I used alcohol inks and embossed with the powder and the heat tool. I have to say it is a lot harder than it looks in the video to get the embossing just right, but I think overall it turned out alright for my first try. I stamped the sun and added a little bit more embossing power to the middle of the sun before heating it. I stamped "A Little Ray of Sunshine to brighten your day" and embossed it. The background is alcohol ink that I moved with the alcohol blower tool. One butterfly is from a coloring page I did and the other from a previous scrap paper that I added 2 diamonds on. Thanks for all the fun ideas and motivation to try new things. June 2020 challenges: - Cards For Kindness - Daily Inspiration - World Environment Day (6/5/20) - stamp Challenge - VLB Challenge
