I love everything about this layout! The distressed edge, the embellies that are so perfect, the paper...well, everything. The best part is probably that precious photo...what a treasure! Definitely frameable!
My Grandmother doing laundry with a washboard outside her home. Her and my Grandfather had 8 children. I am sure she did a lot of this with having 6 boys, especially. My Dad was the oldest. This is in 1944. My sisters and I did not find this picture till after she passed, so I don't have a story behind it. I do love her checkered apron and hat, which I know she loved wearing hats.
From my stash, I added a barrel below the photo. It had vegetables in it, which I cut out. I put bottles and a soap box in it to match what is in the photo, they are from G45, Old Curiosity Shoppe Collection and G45 Domestic Goddess Collection. The lady figure and towel I added from G45, Domestic Goddess Collection. The sunflowers are from G45, the French Country Collection. The checkered paper is from G45 Domestic Goddess, and I added that to match her apron. The quote I had from my stash as well, but not sure if that was from another old Graphic 45 Collection. I can't remember the name of that collection. Then I punched an old Martha Steward punch. Thinking about framing it and hanging this in my laundry room.
