Recent photo of my youngest daughter and me (June 7, 2020). I used a lot of old papers for this layout. The black polka dot is not labeled...so no clue. The pink is just a piece of card stock. The black strip is the reverse of the paper over it and was paper from The Robin's Nest. The title is a sticker is from Echo Park's Farmhouse Market. The birds are from a stamp set from a Simon Says stamp "Look for Rainbows" set and were stamped on white and colored with Copics. The big blooms are a new stamp from My Favorite things that I stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. I added some wink of stella (clear) to the blooms and some black and white Nuvo drops to the layout. Also added some pen stitching in a couple of places. Journaling is tucked into a pocket attached to the back of the layout and reads:

Kimmer, as you grow older and your family grows up, our visits become fewer and farther apart. I guess this is the cycle of life…mostly because as I look back I realize that when I was raising my children, my visits to my Mama and Daddy became fewer. As the kids age, they’re involved in so many things that it’s difficult to get everyone together to go visit grandma. I know it’s difficult…I’ve been there. I just want you to know that every trip you make down this way is special to me. I treasure each moment we get to spend together.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
