What a wonderful memory preserved. The photos are so mesmerizing. Your DD is sure a pretty young lady. The black lace was theperfect touch to this. Elegant and classy.
How beautiful - the layout AND your daughter!!! I love the punched strips and pops of color, along with those wonderful ferns; your combination of stitching and doodling around the border is fantastic!
Such a lovely layout! Like your mix of all the embellies, those fern leaves are super and how neat one of the photos has Sarah by the ferns!! Great photos and like how they are b/w. The black lace at the bottom is a nice added touched too!
This is very different for you...but I love it! I really like the fern leaves and the stitching. I need to try that again. Great photos of Sarah...but then they always are :)
This is our DD Sarah down at Warm Springs, Georgia way back in August 2007. She was 18 years old here. We had taken a day trip down to walk around the shops and take some pics.
The pps and stickers are by Echo Park - For the Record 2. I think the fern leaf was by K & Co. I used two Martha Stewart punches - Floral Lace and Doily Lace. The other punch is Upper Crest by Fiskars. The red border was punched, matted on cream and then I cut around the border edges by hand. The green check border was punched and a cream mat punched to go behind it. Looking at this now, I wish I had matted the blue flowered piece in black maybe so it would pop more and the punching at the bottom would be more noticeable. Oh well... The b/w pp in the bg was cut out by hand and then I stitched in red around the borders. I did a small bit of doodling around the edges of the circle. The black lace is from my stash. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
