This was the last stop on our Wine Trail.

Journaling: 4.0 Cellars includes a triad of family-owned wineries – Brennan Vineyards, Lost Oak Winery, & McPherson Cellars. We tasted 7 wines.

1) Reserve Mourvedre Rosé – dry rosé, good with acidic foods like Margarita Pizza 2) Cinsault (McPherson) - lighter red, good sipping wine 3) Les Copains Red (McPherson) – Rhone style red blend of 5 grapes 4) Cabernet Sauvignon (Lost Oak)- smooth, nice finish 5) Holiday Wine 2016 (Lost Oak)- varies each year, blend 55% Ruby Cab, 45% Merlot with touch of sugar – very drinkable goes with everything 6) Super Nero (Brennan) – Italian blend of Nero d' Avola & Cinsault – more sugar this year, works best with food or bold cheese 7) Tempranillo (Brennan) – excellent.

We also tasted 4 cheeses with the wines – Davine (a fave), Caraway, Texas Star (fave) & Jalapeño. We thought about buying some cheese but it was too pricey.
