I made this plaque for Jess for her scraproom. I found these wooden letters that were whitewashed a couple of months ago at Walmart and thought I would decorate them for her to hang. Once I got started on them I decided to put them on a wooden plaque of some kind and I found this cool wood plaque at Hobby Lobby. It was just the right size.

Jess loves dragonflies, vintage laces and buttons so I tried to stick to that theme.

The letters are covered with four different Blue Fern Studios Bird Waltz papers - J: Lyrical Arrangement, E: Songbird, S: Concerto and S: Overture. I then inked around the edges with VersaMagic Turquoise Gem. Then I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint Clear Rock Candy. After that dried I rubbed Tim Holtz Vintage Photo over each one. The lace on the J was a tiny scrap from Reneabouquets, lace on E from HL, the lace on the first S was cut from an old applique and the lace on the last S is some I've had in my stash for years...don't even remember where I got it! All the flowers are from HL. I used Stardust Stickles as well as Seafoam Stickles (from Carri) on the flowers. Bling pieces I've had in my stash, as well as all of the buttons. I covered the bottom of the plaque with 6" wide burlap that I got from Walmart a long time ago.

The fussy cut dragonfly from the paper collection has Seafoam stickles on the wings also.

The wooden dragonfly was also from HL. I used Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Crackle Paint on the body and Mermaid and Sage Liquid Pearls on the wings. I sprinkled Lime Green Chunky Glitter Glass from Reneabouquets before the liquid pearls dried. I used Yellow Stickles on the body of the dragonfly to bling it up a bit.

Thanks for taking a look at my fun project!! I appreciate your support so much!
