Give a Cheer
Back in January I started a "Treasures Journal" as many of you know. It started out as a composition book that we had a swap for and CJ was my partner. She covered the book, including the inside covers and decorated it so beautifully, and in my favorite color scheme...lavender. She supplied gobs of tags in pockets she'd added to the covers. I decided to use it for a Treasures Journal (can't go with the term "junk journal") and each page features embellishments/goodies that my scrapping friends have sent me in various swaps. I have a tub full of treasures from my friends and I'm trying to utilize them in this Treasures Journal. I will probably only be able to do three or four more pages in the book as it is pretty thick with dimensional goodies. Then, I will start on a new one!
So, this page features the following, and special thanks to:
Jess (Jess E) for the gorgeous printed paper originally from Angela Kerr printable. I had to piece the "pocket" since the paper was printed horizontally and I needed to add some to the bottom. Jess also gave me the crochet doily on the pocket, as well as the lavender satin flowers and tiny diecut butterfly.
CJ for the lavender string at the bottom, the lavender ribbon that I braided, dark purple eyelash trim, metal leaves, stick pin, the tags (which were in the composition book), the lace on the tags, and the Kathy Davis Journeys paper clips.
Dawna provided me with the beautiful embossing folder that I used on the tags (I posted a closeup of them in the next picture).
Lisa Carlson for the paper doily, puffy butterfly and bird stickers, the three buttons on top left, pearl hearts at bottom and the beautiful glitter trim on the right.
Carri (Caletts) for the beautiful lace butterfly (under the diecut butterfly).
Ina for the sweet little bow with a heart on it.
The lavender butterflies are diecut from two of the tags provided in the composition book CJ made for me. Dies from Amazon.
I inked around the entire page, pocket and butterflies.
I used, for the first time, my Bo Bunny Steampunk stamp set (under the buttons). The script stamping is 49 & Market Gabi's Postcard from Paris set. Mermaid Tails Beautiful Beads from Reneabouquets.
