The paper collection is Boys Rule by Photo Play that is perfect for girls pages, too! The doilies and title were done with the Silhouette Cameo 3. The journal card was printed from an image at the Silhouette store onto card stock cut with a Sizzix die.
A star at the bottom right indicates that the journaling is on the back and reads: Lara played summer league softball for four years while we were living in West Monroe. These pictures were taken in May 1981 when she played on the Johnnie Bayles girl's softball team. Her coach was a neighbor and Monroe policeman, Ricky . She usually played catcher and occasionally played at second base. Catching was a hot, dirty position, but she loved it. We would pack an ice chest with lots of ice, water, and towels to keep her hydrated and cool between innings. She was chosen for the All-Star team at the end of each season. In 1983, we were in the process of moving to Claiborne Parish so we let her coach know we would not be able to get her to practices and games after the end of regular season. She loved softball and it was one of the things she missed most about being in Summerfield since they did not have a softball team until several years after she graduated. She played basketball one season at Ridgedale Academy but decided that was not her sport.
