What a stunning cover and page for your next journal. I love the pinks, pretty pps, and its so nice that you could use that pretty flower I sent you. Love that gorgeous die cut behind the bike and fence, its all so scrumptious!
Here's the start of my second Treasures Journal. My first one is so full with just 13 pages and a narrow spine that I needed to start a new one. This one is smaller so I won't have as much space to work with.
I ran across this mini album I guess you would call it that Darlene gave me in a pocket letter swap earlier this year. She had no use for it, so I thought I would make it into another journal. It has very thick chipboard and is put together with two metal rings that go in the top. When I get it completed, I will take a picture of it all put together.
I struggled for about 4 or 5 days deciding on papers to use. I originally wanted to go with Stamperia but most of my collections are used up. Then I remembered this 6x6 P13 Love in Bloom collection in my drawer and decided to go with that. It has to be pieced but I love the look!
So, on the cover, special thanks go to: Darlene (Starr77) for the chipboard journal Jess (Jess E) for the vintage lace on the cover, as well as the little flower applique on the tag Carri (Caletts) for the lovely pink mini prills I used on the flowers of the cover Jenn DuBell for the pink twine on the tag
On Page 1, special thanks to Amy Voorthuis for the beautiful Scrapiniec wood frame under the flower. I heat embossed it with Stampendous Shabby White. Dawna (Dawna.s Place) for the lovely flower (not sure what she used to color it with but it matches my paper perfectly!) Beth (Rabbit51-Beth) for the pearl strand and the beautiful stick pin Vicki (CrimsonMama) for the clear beads I glued in random places! The rose and pearl trim were another gift from Donna (Bonprof), so that holds special meaning.
The gate and bicycle on the cover I've had in my stash for ages. The bicycle is Spare Parts from HL. The beautiful butterflies I used are Reneabouquets. Tag die from Aliexpress.
The diecut under the gate was one I've had on my craft table for months and never used. Can't remember what paper I even cut it from but it matched nicely! The die is Die'sire Parisian.
The lattice stamp on page 1 is an old one from Scrapbook Diaries by Gabrielle Pollacco. I used Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet on it as well as inking around the edges.
The zigzag stitching stamp is also old - TPC Studio - Patterned Borders.
Faith, Hope, Love stickers from Hobby Lobby from a couple of years ago also.
Thanks so much for your visits. I posted individual pictures of the cover and page 1 also to see a bit better.
