Awful to be down and out because of the flu - but super idea to journal and scrap without photos! (I, too, was worried it was COVID until I saw the date. Whew!)
Oh you poor things. There is nothing worse than a couple sick at the same time. Your journaling is wonderful. You had me on the edge of the seat to see if one of you killed the other. Hahaha!
I started reading and didn't see the date at the bottom at first. Worried it was COVID instead of another flu. Glad it wasn't worse for you. You could go for the music challenge too with that title.
that sounds awful. so glad you are both better and were able to make plans and reserve spots for your next destinations. Sounds like new adventures await :) GREAT journaling and a wonderfully embellished lo.
It's great how you documented this, great journaling and cute embellishments...that's sounds awful that you both were sick at the same time, glad you got through it. I never get flu shots, hubby has to because of work.
I didn't have many photos from March 2018 because we were so sick. I did a page with no pictures - just journaling to document this.
Journaling: At the very beginning of March, Dennis and I both came down with the flu. We must have been exposed at the same time. With both of us sick, neither one of us was capable of helping the other one. We were literally in bed for the first 5 days - crawling out only to feed the cats or make soup, when we felt we could eat something. It was miserable! Runny noses, sore throats, muscle aches. Fever and all over weakness…yuk! And we got flu shots too! The next week we felt more human and began to do more. We had to go out to get OTC medication, food shop and fill water bottles. We tried taking turns going out but ended up both relapsing. Back to bed for a few more days but we could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Slowly we improved. We were basically home bound for most of the month of March. We took the time as we got better to make plans and reservations for the next 2 months. First, we plan to head west as we want to get to the Big Bend area and explore. We pick a park on the west side of the park – Maverick Ranch RV Park – and make a reservation for a week. Next stop will be Fort Davis as we want to go the McDonald Observatory. Staying 3 nights – and are able to get tickets one night for a “Star” Party. After that we will work ourselves east, stopping at Ft. Stockton for a night then to Conroe for a month at Venice on the Lake. That puts us close to Livingston – where we will need to be in June for our volunteer month at the CARE Center. Conroe has more shops and restaurant options than Livingston which we will avail ourselves of before going to Livingston.
