Another one for my Christmas card collection. For the background, I tried a new technique that I learned from one of Simon Hurley's classes that involve acetate, distress ink, and water. I am very thankful to Lorile for providing me with the acetate so I could try this technique. I put lighter blue distress ink on the acetate and sprayed a smidge of water on it, then placed it on the paper. I picked the acetate up and placed it back down a few times till the ink was gone. I used a heat tool to quicken the drying time. Then did the process again with a little water. I then did the process again with darker blue distress ink. I stamped some snowflakes then embossed them. I stamped the sentiment and used my fun scissors to cut it out. I created "hills" with cardboard and placed bites of cotton balls on top to look like snow. I used foam tape to help make the Gingerbread man look as if he is sitting upon the sled. The sled is a sticker that was gotten from Goodwell. The Northpole sticker is from my Elf on The Shelf Sticker book. I repurposed the border from another Christmas card I received years ago.
