I am going to give this Christmas card to my grandma as she likes things that vintage looking and I think the Santa works for that. The Santa was repurposed from a Christmas card I received. I used a cotton ball on his hat to add some dimension. I had a sticker that said "Ho Ho Ho' and decided to cut it up so I could place them in a more appealing way than in one small square. This was my first attempt at trying the technique from the Simon Hurley class with the acetate, ink, and water. I ended up using to much water so it took up most of the background instead of a small portion as it does in his video, but I am still happy with how it turned out. I went from lightest to darkest with the inks. I repeated the process of placing the ink on the acetate and spraying some water then placing it on the paper a few times till no more ink was left on it, then heat drying it. I repeated this cycle twice for each color. I then placed it on a piece of scrap paper that I have that looks like bricks because well, Santa is known to enjoy brick fireplaces. Lol. The acetate and Versafine Spanish Moss ink were from Lorile.
