Photographs of sights taken about town in Beijing. Working for a company that has landscape architects has improved my appreciation of "simple" sights and unique designs. For a city the size of Beijing--and knowing how roadsides get littered with stones and other debris in America--I was ASTOUNDED at how tidy and clean everything was in China. At one point, I saw an elderly man sweeping stones off the side of the road! Let me tell you, I was impressed (and somewhat ashamed of America's untidy roadsides, despite gallant efforts by volunteers to clean up various sections).
