Journaling---Have you ever found a picture in your grandparents drawer and wondered "who is that & how are they related to me?" I don't want my future great grandchildren wondering these things. Relying on stories to be passed down for family genealogy is so unreliable. I want my grandchildren to be able to pick up a scrapbook and read about the funny things that their parents did as kids. To see the differnet ways other generations have grown up, but not by looking it up on some computer. For them to read the feelings and experience it first hand.
For right now, one of my kids will come into my scrapbook room and ask to look at scrapbooks, and pretty soon another one has followed. Before you know it, all three of them are spread out in here passing them around. Then the yelling starts. "Hey, I didn't get to see that one yet." "Well, I haven't either." And they are arguing over who gets that scrapbook next. I love it, because this is why I scrapbook. For my children to enjoy flipping through the pages of our life and watching all of us grow...priceless.

This page has been a long time coming to my scrapbook, and I even get to be in there all by myself without the kids in the pic. Cool.
