Well that didn't sound like a fun way to spend part of your day. Glad you were able to get turned around and ultimately reach your destination. GREAT lo - love the overlapping pics and of course the prefect pp.
This is exactly why I don’t want to venture too far on the RV. I worry about bridges, narrow and winding roads. I am happy just staying close by. Love your papers. I have yet to scrap some of my camping adventures.
We left Del Rio on April 15, 2018 driving to Lajitas - Maverick Ranch RV Park - a desert RV park and dark sky community.
Journal: Should have had no problems with this drive - 292 miles. Head West on US 90 to Alpine then turn South. No problems until we had to turn South on 118 & cross train tracks. There was a freight train just sitting on there blocking the crossing. So we waited...and waited. Cars had turned around & there were 2 motor homes in front of us. The people in the front RV said they had been waiting 2 hours! They finally turned around too. A border agent in back of us told us of another crossing & helped us turn around by stopping traffic. We lost 45 minutes there but finally arrived at Maverick Ranch RV Park at 4:30.
Chipboard flower from Louise. The chipboard flowers were hard for me. I didn't want to use them naked so thought I would paint them. I used gesso first, then Twinkling H2Os. I used 4 colors - but couldn't get the right look so I went to the patina paste that I had and colmbined the green and blue together to get this color and then put glossy accent on top. They still aren't as dark as I wanted but now the tones are right.
