Entered into Septembers Card Inspiration Challenge for the TECHNIQUE-PAPER PIERCING. Also entered into the Scrap With Your Scraps Challenge and the Sticker Challenge. All paper applied to the black card base were scraps. I used double sided tape and die cut all the letters. I stamped and powder embossed the little sewing machine in the hand punched circles and I used 3D foam underneath for added dimension. I simply stamped the machine on the handmade envelope. The letter dies were a gift from our friend Marie Witkowski. Thanks so much Marie! Thanks to all of you who comment, vote and message me :o)Ro

Are you curious about this odd card and the shot of the sewing machine? Check out the needle punctures on each side of the card. I am a Digitabulist (a thimble collector). As my interest in thimbles grew I also started collecting other sewing tools. As I was trying to come up with how to do the piercing technique for the Card Inspiration Challenge, I thought about my little sewing machines. I knew this little electric machine would run but I had never ran it enough to see how the stitching works. This one was really hard to make the stitches go in a straight line and hard to keep the spacing consistent. I just had a thought...maybe the foot feed would hold and move fabric easier and more consistently than paper. Maybe I'll try fabric some day. I just worry that I'll break the machine or the old cord will burn up while messing with it. Anyway, this was an EXTRA FUN project since I got to play with one of my little sewing machines :o)
