Journal: We began our hike winding through the brush until we got to the river - the Rio Grande. Suddenly the path opened onto a rocky beach. It wasn't what I expected - thought it would be larger, deeper. We made our way out to a rocky sand bar in the middle to take pictures. Mexico was just a few feet away. Those cliffs we had been seeing were actually in Mexico - now that's a border wall!

Note one second page - The arrow is pointing at people on the sandbar . See how tiny they are!

The pictures do not do this justice - it is so Huge! Looking up at the cliffs, you feel so small. In the first picture on the 2nd page you can barely see where the trail starts up again - going up.

pps, stickers, chipboard (colored), & small heart die-cut - Simple Stories, naked chipboard - Creative Embellishments, alpha stamps - CTMH, phrase stamp - Tim Holtz, ink - TH, enamel dots - Eyelet Outlet, Simple Stories, Carta Bella. Fiskar edge punch, American Crafts - green pen
