Give a Cheer
This pumpkin doesn't exactly say "Come on in!" DD did paint it by hand without even a picture reference... just from her imagination. Crazy right? She is an amazing painter (she had just turned 7 years old at the time).
She is so cute and so animated I wanted the LO to be cute and animated too. I thought this would be a great opportunity for Sketch #1 from the October Sketch Challenge. Rather than doing the hearts on the side I waned to do these 3 layered pumpkins. I started with the original sketch and actually kept all the elements, but moved them all around. Does that still count?
Luckily I knew this would definitely work for the October Daily Inspiration challenge of October 27 – Emily Post's Birthday – Emily may have known all the rules of polite behavior, but let's follow the Design Rule of 3 by using groups of three (photos, embellishments, colors, etc.) on our layout. 3 pumpkins! Hurray! And at first I was only going to use the black and orange, but quickly realized it needed a 3rd color. How much do you love the pops of green? I do! Perfect for a Florida Halloween LO. We don't get the gorgeous fall colors, so inserting green just makes a lot of sense. TFL!
